The Ledue for Senate Campaign’s Core Principles and Foundation

Summary

The Ledue for Senate Campaign is committed to the following Foundation and Principles. The ideas presented here are the heart and soul of our campaign. This body of thought is the compass we will use to set a new course for Maine and the Nation. In reading this document the people of Maine can clearly see both the guiding force behind our work and the direction that we have committed to.

With an unwavering commitment to seek the common good, The Ledue Senate Team will set a new course, looking forward and upward, to lead toward a new vision of the possible, by making policy decisions based upon three guiding principles. We assert that all policy decisions must be made such that they consistently:

  1. Account for the interdependence of all Americans, and invest our tax dollars using fiscal discipline to reinforce our common good.

  2. Partner with the American people, empowering all to be part of the solutions of our problems; and,

  3. Support the promise of our ideals, and the inalienable rights of all people so that no one suffers needlessly.

More in depth:
A Foundation for Action: Our Common Good
Core Principle One: Interdependence
Core Principle Two: Partnership
Core Principle Three: Promise

How will Tom Ledue represent us?
On the floor of the Senate he will hold your needs and our common good, above all interests; and to that end he will never waiver. In Washington:

  • “I will stand and work for you and your families’ long-term well being.”
  • “I will set a new course to reclaim our commitment to Equality, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
  • “I will protect and promote our inalienable rights.”
